Went to Wagner with my kayak. per my bosses reccomendation. It was nice to be on a lake with no motor boats, and the water was like glass. The water was also very warm. No thermometer, but I’d guess 70 degrees or so.

I was using a chartreuse swirl tail on a Texas rig kind of setup. I caught 2 small bass (4-5 inches). One in the Lilly pads on the west side of the lake, and one near the end of the old pylons. I thought I’d try a bit in the deeper area of the lake and managed to catch a good size rainbow, probably 14 inches.

The boat launch was not very well maintained, but was fine for my kayak, and there was a gentleman who managed to launch his aluminum Jon boat. The road to the launch was open despite the google result stating it was closed.

I imagine this lake would be better fishing during the cooler months considering how shallow it is.
