I wanted to fish but not drive far so off to Spanaway lake. I got there about 9:30 and started paddling. I saw tons of small sunfish and baby bass and they kept checking out my bait but wouldn't bite it. I found one big largemouth who was chasing my lure but got scared of the kayak, and lost a small largemouth who threw the hook. Other than that the action was rockbass all day. I think I caught 3 and had some good bites that didn't get hooked and others chasing my spinner. I didn't see any trout. I found a pretty big green sunfish on a bed or something who would nip at my bait but never bite enough to get hooked. Swimming was probably the best part of the day, the water is in the high 60's or low 70's.
