I haven't fished this lake in at least 30 years. I got on the water just after 9 and started trolling. About 15 minutes later I started getting bites on both lures close to another boat that was fishing so I figured this was the spot. The perch were biting all day but ignoring my bait and mostly biting my spinner, though the spoon got several bites too. I ended up catching probably 8 perch and one smallmouth that fought like a salmon because it was hooked in the gill. Lots of other bites that didn't get hooked because their mouths are so small. The perch were between 6 and maybe 7.5 to 8 inches. The water is around 70 degrees. I'm surprised there are still parts of this lakeshore that aren't covered with houses or condos.
