I went hiking on the Middle Fork trail but the trail quickly leaves the river and goes farther and farther away so I turned around and went back close to the trailhead to fish. I'm sure other sections of the river have better fishing. Near the parking lot there are not a lot of fish and they are small. I had many nip my spinner and not get hooked but I did manage to land one which was only about 7 inches or so. Someday when I have more time I will explore more of the trail, I'm sure there is better fishing in more remote sections.
