Im going to stop trying this lake until probably 2027. After getting skunked at the launch last 2-3 times I've gone with not even a bite, I decided to hike up the west bank. Still nothing. Last 3 times I've gone there hasn't been anything breaking the surface, morning or evening. I haven't even seen an eagle or osprey diving into the water during the last few trips. Everyone I've talked with whether they were fishing from shore or from a boat said they hadn't gotten a single bite. Today there was actually some boats on the water. I'd gotten to the lake first at around 5:30am and was up in a spot with bait in the water by 6:30am. A short time later a guy in an inflatable pontoon launched, about an hour later a couple guys in an aluminum boat were on the water. I didnt see any of them catch anything but they were a ways away from me. The guy on the pontoon left while I was still fishing from the bank and I left before the other boats had come in.

They poisoned the lake off last November (2024) and did stock a fair amount of fish in it afterwards but I think its going to take a couple seasons before this lake gets to be a better fishery again.

I tried powerbait from a small treble and zeke's gold garlic dough bait. Also tried worms with and without power bait. Tried floating up off the bottom and even directly on the bottom.
