I told my son that we were going to troll until we saw fish jumping and as soon as we rounded the slag pile, looking toward Vashon, there were fish jumping. So, we went out toward them at about 350 feet deep and got bites.
It was a great day of catching. We still need to get our netting down. Practice makes perfect. I think shorter rods may help. Or a bigger boat.
When the bites slowed, we went over toward Owens Beach. I saw the whale so we tried to video that.
Then a call from home came and one of the cats had taken a jig (meant for pinks) off my desk and now it was in its paw.
We were there 10am-2:30pm
The tide was High 9:24 AM 9.6 feet Low 3:05 PM 3.8 feet.
