We started out about 8:30am by not being able to get the big outboard to start. Good news was the electric did. Remember last outing the battery died and it quit so we had to balance the batteries and reset the electric motor after a manual stow.
Weather was partly cloudy with the air temperature around 70 water temperature at 73.
My son had more bites than I did. But we couldn’t get them in the boat. We used worm and corn for bait. Each of us had one longline (1/2oz to 1oz) and one downrigger. I went from 25-46 feet on the downrigger. Our speed was from .9-1.7mph. Lake level was 1200.29 feet.
I unplugged the electric motor when we got to the dock and it was hot. Coming home the truck was overheating. Then found a bald-faced hornet’s nest by where I keep the boat.
