I fished the lake on the southern part where the water is warmer, and more likely to produce some bass. Mostly using plastics, and top waters in the two foot depth. The lily pads are coming back and are offering an excellent cover for those lunkers. The bass will be spawning soon, so they will be coming up from there depths and will become more aggressive because they are guarding the nests. Remember, if you catch spawning bass, put them back because the future of bass fishing depends on it. And here is another pointer, deep fish are moody, and shallow fish are aggressive. Well, I did not catch any bass, but they still aren't very active yet. After doing my share of bass fishing I switched to the trout because they just stocked it with some from the hatchery and I caught a fat little guy on some Power bait. But I would rather catch one two pound bass than ten rainbows! And I'm sure all you bass anglers would also. Good Luck!
