I had the chance to take my kids fishing on Spanaway lake. We got our gear
ready, chairs, bait, and some snacks. We went to the dock by the boat
house. As we were getting ready to setup and relax a red speed boat started
racing by coming within casting range of the dock. I went to the boat house
and complained to the guy who had a Pierce county jacket that a unmuffled,
boat was coming to close to the dock. His response was who cares there is
nothing they can do. I told him I would call 911 to report it. He told me
I was wasting my time. I called 911 and the operator put me thru to the
county sheriff office. I talked to an officer and told him what the boat
looked like. It was apparent that the fishin trip was over so I packed it
up and headed home. On the way out I talked to the locals and they told me
that this was a common occurrence from this individual. Well for now I am
tired of going fishing and have it spoiled by these crazies out there. All
those who run there boats to close to people fishing on the bank and the
docks be thankful I do not own a gun.
