I had just finished with summer school and was more than eager to go fishing to get my mind off of business blah blah blah. I have a little two man inflatable raft that I had recently purchased off of ebay, so I decided to take it out for a little lake fishing in the Beaver. I got there pretty late about 5 pm. My friend Danny, who loves fishing more than girls, and I began by trolling with 2.5 rapalas but to no avail. My arms got completely sore from paddling so we decided to find a little spot and switched to the good old tried and true method of worms and bobber.
We finally found this spot where an old dock used to be. BAMMO!!
it was perch heaven!
We must have pulled up the entire school. It was mostly catch and release but we did keep four 13" inch whoppers.
It got dark but just as we were about to leave Kabamm! This fat 3 pound bass knocks on my door. So what did I do? I let him have it.
All and all Beaver Lake has got some fun fishing. Definitely a place to bring your kid to for some rapid action.
