Fished Jameson the weekend of Oct. 17 & 18, 1998. Weather Saturday the
17th was high overcast, about 55 to 60 degrees, with a South wind at
about 15, gusting to 25! Windy! Caught a couple of nice 14 inchers in
the South end of the lake near Jack's Resort, from a boat. Nothing from
the shore.
Sunday the 18th dawned very clear and VERY cold; about 25 degrees at
7:00 a.m. The fish didn't bite until between 10 and 12, at which time I
quit. No wind early on; lake like glass. A slight breeze picked up
around 10 am. Again, I caught no fish from the bank; caught some very
nice 14 to 16 inchers from the boat, again at the South end. I heard
and saw that fishing the North end of the lake was good too, better than
South, but it tends to be a bit more breezy there. Also caught several
8 to 10 inch plants, but if you get down deeper through those, you can
catch nice fish.
