I showed up in the middle of a hot Saturday afternoon. To my dismay no one had caught anything. I decided the fish must be in the more shallow water and cast sideways about 35-45 feet from the shore. Almost instantly a small 8'' was caught and released. I stayed for a couple more hours catching my limit of throwbacks. Someone else fishing towards the buoy landed a nice 19'' carryover. Looked like it had been in the lake for a while.
