The revised planting schedule from last fall (holding off on the plant until the 1st of November) seems to have paid off with our results this spring. Most of our trollers are bringing in limits of 11" - 13" Rainbows in three to five hours of fishing. They are trolling many different lures, but the bright colors seem to be working the best. Oranges and Chartreuse colors, relatively shallow. Most anglers are not going more than two colors out with leaded line. Mornings and evenings are the most productive with the afternoons slower. The dock fishermen are also getting results fishing about 12' - 14' deep. Powerbait or nightcrawlers with a marshmallow are working best there. Evenings and nights are the most productive, but they are getting action throughout the day. Our largest carryover so far this year is a 24" 3.5 lb. Rainbow.
