I have always fished this lake opening day for 8 years and never seem to make it back.[ I am at least 100 miles away] This year my boys convinced me they needed to go in. We got there about 1:00 weather was great. The bite was pretty slow but we seen a few caught and a few jump. Then the weather turned on us and it rained for about 3 hrs being true fisherman my boys fished in the rain. We packed it up after the rain didn't let up. We had a blast and some times it isn't about catching fish but the time you spend with the ones you fish with. I have heard they plan to rehabilitate this lake does any one have any info on this. This is a good lake to catch quality fish but you have to work at it to get them and it isn't every time you go. I would like to see this lake there for my boys with quality fish. Not quantity.
Take a kid fishing you will not be sorry.
