This is a great lake. Having been newly stocked with hatchery
"bows," everyone was catching (and keeping) many a fish. We caught and released 4 fish in our time there. I found it interesting; you could see what time the hatchery fry were fed as you would notice everyone catching atone...then bam! Nothing. This went on a couple of times that day.

The most impressive part of the day was a natural cutthroat that was caught by two patient locals floating powerbait. The thing must have been 17+". It was successfully released. I would suggest this lake to anyone. It is an old 1950's chain of cabins located in logging territory. One word of precaution--this lake is home of the "Schmidt" fisherman, so steer clear of them towards sundown. Enjoy yourself.
