Took Dad out for Dad's day fishing. Hit the East marshes first,
about 6am. Around 7 nailed the first 2 pound lg mouth with a chartreuse and orange popper. No more hits for quite a while. Found some shade noonish on the South side of the island near the huge downed tree. Dropped a Texas jig down to bottom and wait for the hunted to tease the bait. (pick it up and set it down). When the slack would move away we'd set up bringing up the Second large mouth of the day, around 2-1/2 pounds. We also had a few little ones in the boat and plenty of good hits before one o'clock. After that...nothing. We stayed out on the water another 5 hours till 6pm, 12 hours plus. A perfect day in the sun. We released all the hunted so we, and everyone, can go back out for more thrills next time. Thanks for the replacement motor. BL
