What a beautiful spring day, temps in the hig 50's couldn't resist one last fishing trip on our old license - new ones due April 1. Paked up the gear and went to one of our favorite lakes - Kapowsin. This is not a really hot fishing lake early due to chilly water temps - 46 degrees all day - but you will never find a more serene lake to still fish or bass fish - or just like us catch some warm sun rays (which is all we caught) to get rid of the winter doledrums. Except for an occasional plane overhead - we heard sounds of crickets and frogs singing in spring. Andy and his wife care take the boat rental & dock and are the nicest people. She is a world of information so take time to ask. They told us it was slow but a few had been taken - people who had been bassing caught some 18 inch trout but they were really fatty, others had been trouting caught some nice bass - while we were leaving a gentleman caught a small bass off the dock. Some Kokonee had been caught but they were small. They are planning (editor's note, the report cut off here).
