We arrived Sunday at Mineral about 0630 and there was already plenty of boats on the water. some trolling, some still fishing. I thought we would troll over to my favorite spot to still fish on the east side of the lake. Now I do something a little different than most, I troll power bait. yes really. I baited my hook with orange power bait and with barley enough weight to cast I took my first cast of the morning and kicked the electric into and out of the lowest setting if u do this u must go very slow with little weight, almost like drifting). Not 5 min later I hooked into what I knew was a good fish. I hadn't felt a trout like this one in Mineral for a couple of years. But u know Minerals got them, that's why we all fish there. After my partner netted the fish we proceeded to re lease a few more around 8-16in,then decided to go to the boat house and weigh mine.8lbs even it was and it felt good.
