On my way to Swofford I stop by Alder Lake the lake was way down looked like you could only get carry downs to the water. I bank fished awhile and caught some nice size perch. When the level is this low its a nice time to be looking for those lures ya lost a few months ago. Riffe Lake was getting low also as I arrived at Swofford. The Pond had algae growth along the shoreline. I casting bits of night crawlers from shore and hooked up with perch first near the weed line then some skimpy bluegill near the spillway. About 7:00 pm started seeing fish swirl on the top surface so I cast in the middle of the open water and the fish would hit it the second it smacked the water. It was Brown Trout all about 12 inches but very skinny. They looked like a snake or torpedo trout, not much for a meal. I left when the bloodsuckers were starting a feast on me! A few campers were staying the nite along the Pond, a nice time to catch those Channel Cats. GO FISH......<:{{{{{<
