Fished Cottage Lake Monday with my wife and 4 year old son from noon till 4:00pm. Beautiful day and not too crowded on the dock, my son caught his first fish in about 45 seconds after I cast out his line, a beautiful, fat, 12 inch trout. Great fish for #1!! Within 2 minutes he had another one on. (Dad still can't get his line in the water)..
When I did get my line in I had one on in about 10 min. another Fat 12 incher. Mom is now getting miffed! I caught two more in the next two hrs, but still not a bite for my wife. The next thing we know is Mom's rod is slipping down the dock!! she finally grabbed it and started to reel and a "football" started to dance across the water- after telling her not to horse it in for the umpteenth time I got the net around the "Monster of the Loch" a bright fat 3-1/2 lb rainbow that would do Potholes Res. proud. A great way to spend some quality family time!
