Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife gets another big THANK YOU from me. I took my six year old daughter and her friend, who had fished before but never caught one, and my three year son Kyle and his friend fishing. They had a blast. All the kids hooked and landed really nice fish. We are talking 2-lbs. plus fish. They caught trout, salmon and bass. It is really great to have the opportunity to catch these planted fish. I realize that put-and-take fishing is not real popular with hard-core fishermen, but it is a great way to introduce kids to fishing. The kids were really excited! We just used worms, on the bottom and with bobbers. They worked just fine, although the bottom is very weedy.
