I have found a new way to fish those finicky fish at Klineline. If you have fished that lake you know how over fished it is and how hard it is to hook those nice sized broods and steelhead. Well, I came across those new trout worms from Power bait and here's the lowdown. I would fish em and hook my limit in about 20 minutes. Always attracting the attention of the other fisher men, wanting to know what that weird looking worm was. Here's the system, you rig up a bullet weight and a glass bead on a swivel. Tie on about a 15 inch leader and a small octopus hook at the end. Hook on the worm just like you would for some weedless bass fishing, hiding the hook point in the middle. Cast out and give it a few twitches and relax your line and watch for the bite. Count to 20 or 30 and twitch it some more. Keep it up and you too will hook em on in a hurry. Don't forget to let that fish get it good in his mouth by letting him take some line before setting that hook. I've caught brood and steelhead not more than 5.
