Like many a time, I got skunked. I was surprised to find that this
Chelan County lake, located near Manson was actually pretty shallow. If it helps, I fished the middle of the lake (hoping that it would be the deepest and where all the nutrients were this time of year). I'll be constructive. Here's a list of things not to do on Dry lake this time of year:
-use a a whole plethora of lures that include trout rattlers, brown trout krokadiles, small trout mepps, blue blue foxes, and orange and green power bait suspended 6 feet of the surface.
As mentioned, this lake is shallow, and full of weeds! I don't know, but it seems like this lake has all the makings of a bass lake.
I think that I've made my point clear. Unless you are trolling, or probably bait fishing (God help us..), or the WDFW stocks this thing, you aren't going to find many trout at this point in the ballgame. I wish you the best of luck.
