OUT TO COFFEEPOT AT 7AM. SEVERAL FISHERS THERE. EAST END OF LAKE WAS FROZEN 1" THICK ICE. IT WAS BROKEN UP AND WE SET OUT. THE FIRST BIG BOWL OF COFFEEPOT WAS ICE FREE, FROM THE 1ST NARROWS WEST IT APPEARED TO BE ICED UP. BLM FELLOW SAID 2 DAYS OF 9 DEGREES FROZE IT. WE TROLLED SZ 70 HOT SHOTS IN FIRE TIGER AND PERCH W/ 1/4 OZ KEEL WEIGHTS
WE BOATED 16 BOWS, BIGGEST 25" 5LB'ER. 3 CAUGHT ON BLACK WOLLY BUGGERS. TRIED OTHER COLOR HOT SHOTS, FIRE TIGER WAS THE ONE.
LAST YEAR SAME PATTERN WORKED REALLY WELL AT FAR END OF LAKE. ALSO YELLOW AND ALL BLACK SMALL FLATFISH WORK GREAT.
GET SOME SIWASH HOOKS, CUT THE TREBLE HOOKS OFF THE HOT SHOT AND YOU CAN JUST SQUEEZE THE SIWASH ONTO THE SCREW EYE. THE WARDEN WAS OUT, MOST FOLKS GOT CHECKED. REMEMBER - BARBLESS HOOK
