Went to Flowing Lake on Saturday, May 23, with my son and grandson. As we pulled in, a guy coming out said that he had limited, fishing on the bottom with pink powerbait. He also said that the bite was very subtle and hard to detect. Sounded good to us, but when we launched, the trolling motor (our only motor) wouldn't work. So we rowed out a short way from the south launch, and fished there, instead of trolling our way
across toward the north launch and, if trolling didn't work, fishing in
the hole up there (plan A). Oh well...ended up catching one each...a 10" trout, a 13-14" trout and a small perch. And losing a LOT of powerbait--those guys have gotten really gentle about taking the bait.
