My wife and I fished fishtrap two days in a row. Rented a barge and motor for only forty dollars the whole day. Left the resort about 7:30am the first day. Got to our first spot, dropped anchors and both cast out together using, I used power bait, peach and my wife used a worm and marshmallow. Within minutes we both had bites and catching fish. Average size was about 11 to 13 inches. We both caught a couple of 16 inchers that were really fat. The smaller ones were real fighters and we had a blast limiting out in a short time. We released a few that were only hooked in the lip. Also caught a couple of catfish about 13 inches but real fat. The second day of fishing was just as good but temp was up in the 80 degree range that day. Fishtrap is a great lake with fast action. We were even catching rainbows by just going to the middle of the lake, shutting off the motor and drifting and casting out. We plan on going back in July.
