I took my dad out canoeing on Rattlesnake Lake this weekend. The weather was great - almost no wind and slightly overcast. The lake was fairly busy both on the shore and on the water. We fished for about 45 minutes with only a few strikes. We trolled various lures (anything I could find with a single barbless hook). I did not see a single person (nor the Osprey that kept lunging noisily after the trout) catch a fish. Many were trolling lures or flies and some were using dries on the surface. I did see a bank fisherman, who looked to me like he was using powerbait or worms, sneak a stringer holding at least two small rainbows back to his car.
