Memorial day weekend started out wet and cool and the fishing on Lake Washington was about the same. My friend Manuel and I launched out of Sand Point at 6:30am with a steady light rain coming down. We fished the 520 bridge for a couple hours with not a strike, trolling the usual assortment of lures at various depths. At 9:30 we headed over to the I-90 bridge. The sun started to come out, the rain stopped and we started to hit fish. We caught a couple cutthroats on frog-green spoons, the larger fish was a respectable 15". The smaller one went back. We continued to fish until noon, and although we marked a lot of fish, we had no more hits.
