Tried Juanita Bay area for some early season smallmouth. Slow jigged power grubs in 10-25 feet of water. Managed only 1 11 inch bass but I hooked into two surprises. One was a 16 inch walleye. The other was a 20 inch channel catfish. I didn't even know that walleye and channel cats are in the lake. I released the walleye because I didn't know what the regulations are for walleye in Lake Wash. When I was leaving the Kenmore boat launch there was a guy there showing off a 7 foot sturgeon that he caught in front of the Sammamish Slough. I looked in the regulations later and could find nothing about walleye or sturgeon in Lake Wash. When is the WDFW going to wake up and acknowledge that these fish are in the lake and do something to protect them?
