Went out today at about 4pm and fished until 5pm just to kind of mess around. I wasnt expecting to catch any fish but today was so nice i had to try. I fished at the public fishing area right off the point facing the boat launch. Used red power eggs covered in berkly scent right off the bottum about 2 feet or so. After about 5 minutes or so i was enjoying watching a pair of mallard ducks dabbling at the lake bottum and enjoying the scenery when the fish hit. The fish put up a pretty good fight and i had to barehand grab it since i didnt have a net. It was a nice 2 to 2.5 pound triploid or so. After that i fished for about an hour the same way without luck so i decided to go home because it was getting cold. There were a lot of people on the shore and in boats today.
