Went fishing today with Mr. Jimsocks....Not too hard to catch them today. The planters are still holding in the bay to the left of the boat launch right of the public park. They aren't anything bigger then about 10 inches, but some of them really put up a good fight. If your at the park go fish off that point with the picnic bench it's the best fishing from shore. We took out the inflatable with the new trolling motor and it just makes it more enjoyable when you don't have to row...But we trolled some red flatfish all over that bay...especially on the boat launch side. We trolled from the point to the right of the boat launch all the way to the end of the little bay and just picked up the lines and did a quick u-turn when we wanted to get back on the run we trolled over and over again. We were really close to shore, and the flatfish were probably down 10 feet or so, tipped with a worm or not either way we brought about a 20 or so to the boat from 7:30-10:15 in the morning. Hopefully off to the cabin on Whidbey to fish Lone lake or something with some bigger trout!
