I had never been to the Quincy Lakes Recreation area before so I decided to do an early spring recon of the area for a trip I'm taking next month. Checked out Evergreen and Stan Coffin, and couldn't resist spending a little time fishing on Stan Coffin. Spent about four hours on it, in breezy, rainy, and cold conditions. Still caught three nice 2.5 pound Largemouth. Catch and release only there, so all three are still prowling there home waters. One was caught in about 12 feet of water, trolling a nightcrawler. The other two were caught in 3-4 feet of water off overhanging brush with a plastic worm. Beautiful area there. I'm looking forward to my return trip next month. I'll check back in with reports on Coffin and Evergreen then. Till then, good luck, and good fishing.
