A little late for this report. But you gotta see it. A, what I have been told, a Steely from American Lake. Last Sunday. Back channel going back to Little American. Just off the bouy (rock pile) Across from the old log booms. Got him drifting with a 1/4 oz jig. Black and orange bucktail. Tipped with a piece of crawler. This guy is old. Called him "old crusty". He did actually bite the jig. Not a snag job. Missing half of his top jaw. Half a dorsal fin. And not many scales left. Slimey old guy. A little over 30". Maybe 8 lbs. No scale just a guesstimate. This dude is a rhelic from years gone by. Did release him. Does anyone know how and when these steelhead were introduced? Or how they got there? Have heard lots of stories. Mostly about Chambers creek. And some stories about underwater caverns that lead to Gravelly Lake and Lake Stelicoom.Email me at ratherbefishin@nventure.com Good fishin to ya'all.
