Wow what a great day!! Unfortunately I didn't go with my fishing buddy, so I was out their alone, just a little boring...Although the weather was overcast and then turned to some sunbreaks, it was a great temperature, water felt freezing though...Fished hard from 8:30am to about 11:00am for trout using a fire tiger needlefish about 10 feet down, had 8 hits, brought 5 nice rainbows to the boat. a good 45 minutes of that 2 and a half hours was fought fighting these big and hard hitting and fighting fish. they were tough to get in on light tackle...Not a single fish under 16", biggest went 20"...the other 4 were 16",17",18" and another 18"...all at or around 2 lbs give or take a few ounces, the 20 incher pulled the scale to 2.75 lbs...Everything was released with ease using single barbless hooks. The first hit I had was just a monster...I saw it jump right away behind the boat 75 yards...Looked like about 24", and lost it right as I was about to bring it up to the boat....Tried my luck bass fishing for an hour...didn't get a bite or see anything....Water was too cold...And yes I had my barbs pinched single hooks no bait or anything when I was bass and trout fishing...the Wardens came and inspected my bass gear like detectives (my trout rods where in the car) when I came back to the shore...they didn't even really seem to want to see my license. I actually had to offer to show it to them, and they didn't even really care but they did check it....Please people keep lone lake what it is now...buy your licenses, pinch your barbs, no bait and release everything you get. This lake is a treasure don't ruin it for the rest of us...Pics will be on the way....I forgot to bring the digital camera so I have to wait for a little disposable camera to get the film developed...
