Went to Gasworks Park and walked along the west wall at sunset. This was my first time trying in Lake Union so I wasn't sure what to expect. I see that there are in fact fish here from previous posts. On my 3rd cast with a small pink/white Kastmaster a small (emphasis on small) trout grabbed it. Then I tossed a few bucktail crappie jigs (brown on white) and they were hit by something in the 8-10 inch range. I never saw if it was a crappie or a smallmouth as both times the hook was thrown (I de-barb for ease of removal and to minimize damage to the fish) near the surface. It was a real nice eveing to watch the lights come on downtown and to enjoy a few stikes on the trout rod (spooled with 4lb test). I think I'll be back!
