Well... some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you. Fishing has been spotty since the weather fronts have started blasting through. Don't change every 15 minutes, but if you don't get bit after 2 hours try changing location or presentation. I start in the lower basin with flatfish. If that doesn't produce, I'll move uplake to the Yacht Club. If that doesn't work, I'll switch from Flatfish to Rapala's and pick up the pace from 1.2 knots to 1.6 knots. If that doesn't work, I move to wide bodied spoons and slow it down to .75 knots. If that doesn't work, I'll step it up to Silver Horde's or J-Plugs and step it up to about 2.5 knots or more. If that doesn't work, I go home and seek therapy. The drop out of Manson Bay has produced on tough days for my fishing buddies. The south shore from the Cove to Watson's has bailed me out on tough days. Anton Jones of Darrell & Dad's Family Guide Service (509) 687-0709
