My sister Shelley and I spent Saturday through Wednesday morning fishing at Conconully Reservoir. We stayed at Liar’s Cove Resort in one of the hotel units. Resort hosts Arnie and Nita Grahn are the best. The hotel unit was completely furnished and there was never anything that we needed that was not already in the room. We had a very comfortable stay. Arnie helped us figure out the best spots to fish and the methods that worked best for a particular area. Sis and I like to troll and we spent most of our time trolling in a couple of areas and had great success. We were using small pop gear, with a green wedding ring. Our best luck was using just worms on our hooks but sometimes adding orange, green or pink power bait eggs seemed to make the fish bite better. I don’t know when if ever I’ve seen a dock that produced more fish than the Liar’s Cove dock. Everytime we came in or went back out I would see someone on the dock catching a fish. My Sis and I both agree that Liar's Cove on Conconully Reservoir was a AAA experience.
