A very nice evening to be on Serene Lake (my first visit). The boys at the launch had 6 fish between the two of them on their stringer as I was heading out so that was a good sign there were fish to be had. I had a couple of brief hookups on a olive streamer trolled on a full sinking line while exploring the lake but the real action started as the sun started to go down and the little planted trout were rising everywhere. I switched to a floating line with a small bead head fly just under the surface and landed a couple of fish with plenty of other hits in my last 20 minutes or so of fishing for the day.
