Launched onto Haven at about 4:15 AM for an early morning bass try. Hooked my first fish, a 12 1/2 incher, at about 4:30 AM and never hooked another until about noon. The last fish was a dandy 17 1/2 incher that checked in at 3 pounds, 5 ounces. Haven Lake bass are difficult to catch in the clear water. The launch area is also difficult to launch trailered boats without a 4 wheel drive tow rig. And, to get there, you must now take a detour. Haven Lake Way is closed for the summer for construction. Haven Lake also holds some nice trout. A couple weeks ago, I caught a 16 inch rainbow and a 16 inch cutthroat on a crawfish crankbait. Tight lines. BJ
