Headed out late in the afternoon with my buddy Squat-o for about 4 hours. The water was a little choppy and we had the lake largely to ourselves, which is unusual for such a high pressure lake. Squat-o had a hard strike when we first started trolling and then it was quiet for the next hour until I landed a 18" Rainbow. We stopped trolling for awhile and did some drifting near the southwest shoreline with no luck except for sunfish. We then decided to head in and troll on the way. I then caught a nice 17" two pound Brown. The Rainbow hit a red wedding ring with a flourescent orange blade and a nightcrawler. The Brown hit a "secret weapon." I am sure that after this embarrassing outing for Squat-o he will revert back to long hours of Musky fishing on Silver and Newman. Thanks for the fun time Squat-o, may your rod be perpetually bent!
