Started late, around 9 am. Caught nothing then moved to the point at the beaverlake park under the trees cause it was raining off and on. Caught 2 good rainbows. Went to get some more bait came back and there was someone at the point so we moved a little father down from the point looking straight across at the boat ramp. Caught 1 more rainbow before I had a massive hit which I hooked the fish. Brought it to about were the lillypads end before I heard my drag just start spinning going crazy for about 10 seconds then there was nothing. I was using a live worm injected with air on a 3 foot 4lb test leader with a red baitholder hook size 14. I'll never know what I had on. I think it might have been either a large trout, either cutthroat or rainbow, or one of the lakes many big bass it was big no doubt about it. Saw two others catch a 5 to 7 pound tripoloid.
