I live on lake Erie and have a dock on lake Erie and catch huge perch year round some up to 11.5 inches and most others in the 6 to 7 inch range using mainly small jigs and flatfish mainly around the pads and the boat launch. There is also great bluegill fishing some up to 1 pound and a lot of 7 and 8 inchers mostly caught from the pads and the boat launch. I remember one day I caught 130 bluegill during spawn season on little flies and jigs right off my dock I released all of the fish. There is also crappie on the lake but not very many. I've only caught about 15 using jigs and flies but most were small but had huge bellies. There is also bass mostly caught in the southern end on jigs blue and black and plastic worms on logs, docks, weeds, pads. many bass in the 5 pound range have been caught and lots in the 1-3 pound. Trout fishing is outstanding, on opening day I caught 25 trout all over 12 inches and a few in the 14-15 range. slowly it gets slower but there is still good bites year round on powerbait and flatfish. My 2 best fish caught of the lake were 17 inches and 18 inches. There is also bullheads there not worth catching but every once and a while you might catch a 6 inch one. Other popular baits are bobber and worm rigs, Jigs with yellow tails and sometimes tipped with a worm, and always spinners and spoons. Tight lines
