Had breakfast with the wife and arrived at the lake around 11am. This was my first trip to Coffee Pot. Tied on an olive leach with a little bit of white hackle on the front end. Used 10ft leader on quick sink line to get down fast. Probably down about 10-12ft. Moved along slowly in my pontoon boat just outside of the weedline. Had about 30 nice hits. Landed around 10 fish in the 12-16" range. Tough fighters! Lost two monster bows towards the end of the day.....right before the wind/rain chased me off. The big fish went totally vertical on the hit and were jumping all over the place and shook me off before my fly rod even twitched. I'm sure they were laughing all the way back down to the bottom. The lake has beautiful scenery and I was the only guy on the lake the entire time. Can't beat that!
