I have been taking my 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son out every mourning for the last week. We have been getting alot of 8 inch smallmouths bass. Yesterday mourning my daughter caught a 1.5 lb smallmouth. It was her biggest fish to date. They are biting on 1 inch chartreuse jigs with a green or yellow head and floating rapala's in baby bass or firetiger colors.
