Tried to get to McMurray on opening day, but couldn't find a parking spot at 5:30 AM. However, I did manage to get back on Sunday afternoon. Fished from about 12:30-2:00 from my float tube. A bit windy, which made it a little tough. Fished an egg-sucking leach with a glo-bug on a dropper. Used a sink tip line, and had pretty good action on a nice quality of fish. Those "superior" 12-14" plants are a very nice quality of fish. Caught & released 6 fish in the 1-1/2 hrs I was on the lake. All but one on the egg-sucking leach. Lots of boat traffic, but everyone was well behaved, or maybe they just felt sorry for the old guy out there in the float tube, but definitely worth a 2nd. trip in the near future. Everyone seemed to have a few fish, so maybe fishing will hold up well for a few weeks.
