Man oh Man! lake Cochran is a small private lake with no publlic access just NE of Monroe, if you have a friend that lives on the lake i would suggest an outting here!
my friend and i spent about 6 hours fishing here, from 2pm until about 9:30 on Saturday June 24th 2006. the Trout and Bass are a plenty, within about 3 minutes of the 1st cast the trout were hitting hard, just using multi colored powerbait on about a 3 to 4 ft leader, this continued the rest of the day, we caught trout in the 12 to 15in range and some a wee bit bigger. We one great reason the lake is so good for fishing is the people who tlive there, some of the residence really care about fishing and providing a good enviroment for the fish to live and have a habitat. a big thank you to our friends living on the lake! it was a great day out fishing, next time i think we'll fish for Bass as we heard some great stories while we were there..
