Fished from 6am to 10am in my trusty float tube. Target species - bass. I fished WCCT sticks, floating rapalas, and weedless frogs (in all the lilly pads). I got my first ever Joy lake bass at 6:40, a 10" smallmouth on a stick. Man, everyplace on this lake looks bassy! I only managed one other fish at 9am. Kinda cool, I heard and saw a bass splash and cast to the spot - instant fish-on! Another in the 10-12" range. He sure fought well. I got taps here and there, I think there are a lot of little guys in this lake. If I had managed one more decent fish I'd have rated it a three. I managed to do one complete trip around the lake in 4 hours. Must be gettin old cause I ached afterward.
