Arrived at the lake about 1 PM and was surprised to find 8 other floatation devices already on the lake. The second surprised came as I pulled into the parking area. The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has instituted a usage fee of $5.00 daily or $50.00 yearly for using the parking facilities or for launching a boat. I thought this privilege came when purchasing a fishing license through the "Vehicle Use Permit". So here's a heads up for you if this is your destination.
As for the fishing, I started using a full sink line and tried numerous pattern but without any success. I talked with another individual who indicated that he had caught 2 rainbows approx 18 inches using a nymph pattern, but as near a I could tell, that sounds like the only fish that I heard of being taken. Fished till 5 PM, and after being pretty numb, decided to call it quits.
