Julius Fishing Reports

Hiking back to the High Camp from Lake Donald and Loch Eileen, I stopped at pretty Lake Julius for 45 minutes. This lake was also full of aggressive cutthroat trout. In 45 minutes I hooked 10, eight of which were caught and released. The fish here were a tad smaller - averaging 6 to 9 inches in length. Again - spinners and spoons did the trick. The weather for this three lake trip was great - in the mid-60s with clear, calm skies. The autumn foilage made the hike one of the most breathtaking I've ever experienced! J Kruse
