Hit American with no luck today for Largemouth. Only threw crawdad spinnerbait.Anybody have any better suggestions?

Went to American and fished from my kayak using bobber and power bait at 15 feet. No luck but saw some people catch bass. I have no clue how to fish for bass or kokanee. Any help?
